Pickled onion day

The remaining Chch-based kids (2/4) come over most Sundays for warmth, feeding, a long hot shower and parental advice (well they get the latter even though they may not ask for it!)

Anton requested something with "pickled onions". Hmmm. So a sort of a Ploughman's Dinner evolved. Note the homemade bread please. The onions are over the back.

He also requested Bread Pudding so I have been freezing the left over ends from the bread we have been making. It was incredibly rich - mainly sugar (brown and white), butter and cream (!!) Everyone is now lying around on the sofa's smiling and groaning.
