Crail Food Festival

As we've a cottage in Crail, we've been working hard to promote a new event in the village this year, Crail Food Festival 2011.

Today's Food Market in the Community Hall was a resounding success. Market stalls had been hired from the Fife Farmers' Market and the Hall took on an almost continental air as the local producers set up and got ready to peddle their wares to people from near and far who'd come to Crail for the day.

Our daughter was very excited when she got a job to do, plating up 500 sample plates of delicious Fife food to give away to our visitors. All under the watchful eye of Christopher Trotter, the Fife Food Ambassador.

So many wonderful demos of cookery, ingredients, equipment and mindful food awareness.

And a whole day ahead of us again on Sunday for the Harbour event.
