Pansy in a hurry
snapped this pansy in a hurry - have spent pretty much all day shovelling or hosing off silt from the earthquake. Day started nicely with a bit of sun, clouded over and got colder and damper by the hour. Not ideal conditions for silt clearance, but we wanted it all out on the road before the clean up trucks come.
And it was thick all over the drive so was getting tracked into the house. Our son came and helped and they even got stuck into my garden and cleared off a lot of that.
So now it's 4 30 almost dark and we are all cold and wet, but the job got done so tomorrow will be a lot brighter.
The pansies are in pots luckily, so while surrounded by silt around the pots, the flowers are dusty but fine, and are all yellow, purple, white and blue, to match the kitchen which looks out onto the pot area through glass doors.
One day I'll get the chance to actually think about a blip and make a good job of taking it!! I wish!!
