glee live 2011

best day ever!! went to see glee live in long island with e. there was quite a bit of traffic driving there, but got there about two hours before the show started. since we didn't know where to go, we waited around with a bunch of people standing around by a car garage entrance/exit. saw michael trevino from vampire diaries! didn't say anything though since i'm not a fan of the show. we saw a car that passed by with one of the cast members, but couldn't see inside! tinted windows are silly.

once we got inside, we checked out a few booths that were giving away free stuff & letting people take pictures. the food & merchandise was ridiculously expensive! $9.50 for a six inch Subway sandwich!! once we got into our seats, we were just so excited & anxious! LXD (a dance group) performed as an opener with a thirty minute break before the glee cast came out. everybody was absolutely amazing & flawless! they sounded just like the recordings, but better because you knew they were singing live. we also got the special treat of hearing lea michele sing don't rain on my parade, since she stopped singing it on tour because she was getting too tired or something. yay new york! the cast was terribly adorable, playing off each other on stage. my camera's zoom was pretty awful, & our seats were quite far, so my pictures didn't turn out that great. but it was still an amazing experience!! hopefully i'll able to go next year :D

to top it off, we went to chinatown in flushing, queens after the show since it was only about thirty minutes away. we had some decent pho, but the cherry on top of the day was: we discovered that a coco had just opened in flushing!! had a regular bubble tea, & it was the perfect ending to the best day ever!!

also yay for finally hitting 365 entries!! ...after i've been blipping for more than two years :D
