Seeing Red
Today was a travel day.
Departed Anchorage 1 AM, the Red Eye. It's really difficult to sleep on most airplanes, in coach at least.
After 10 hours and 3500 miles I am on familiar ground again, but groggy and seeing red.
About yesterday: Anchorage is on the shoreline of the Cook Inlet and at the base of the Chugach Mountains. So Anchorage is near sea level. The Chugach Mountains are not that high, 6000 to 7000 feet. Yesterday,s view of downtown Anchorage was from a distance with a telephoto lens, thus the mountains look much closer to downtown than what is reality.
Hope tomorrow will be warm, bright, and clear!
