Wooden Horse

It was the Linlithgow Children's Gala Day today. Unfortunately, it's been raining all day with heavy showers just when the procession was starting. Usually, the crowning of the Queen takes place in the open air down the Peel by the Palace but due to the rain, the event was indoors at St Michael's Church.

Some of the parents whose children are in the Gala Day decorate the front gardens of the houses. Today so far I've seen five castles, one Egyptian pyramid surrounded by sand, a lighthouse that's the full height of the house with the bathroom light shining through where the lighthouse lamp would be, a Charlie and the Chocolate factory with lots of Oompaloompas and a lot more inventive ideas. Some are more ambitious than others but it's a lot of fun!

This little wooden horse has obviously decided to get into the spirit of things!

P.S. Actually managed to catch a pic of Ben sleeping at the window. Normally he hears the car, and starts jumping up and down! (If you're wondering about the yoghurt carton, he gets this for dessert once Mum has finished her share.)
