Melton Fire

Cutting our postage stamp of a front lawn, this little beauty winked at me from under a shrub. Talk about 'hiding your light under a bushel'!

I love these herbaceous potentilla species. really great value, flowering spring to autumn.

I spent the morning planning my shed base on the allotment, but the results , though practically pleasing weren't particularly photogenic. The mixed lettuce was a good display but failed to get the nod from the photo-of-the-day judge.

We expected to be driven home by rain, but it never came, so exhaustion did it!

After lunch I settled down to watch the Test Match but it rained.
