Strawberries! At Last!

With the cool, wet spring we've had I wasn't sure when the local strawberries would be ripe. Today I went to a small farm across town and bought 2 flats of beautiful, red berries. I'll freeze some, make freezer jam, make a dessert, probably strawberry pie or strawberry shortcake, and we'll be eating a lot of fresh berries for a while. Nothing is better than our local berries!
