Eric the Victor!

Eric's school held an Olympics competition today to wrap up a semester of studying Greek culture and history. After a day-long series of events, Eric was crowned the school champion in the "discus" (actually a Frisbee©) throw.

It was an interesting and educational event with all the students dressing in Greek garb with groups of ten working together and competing as a polis, or city-state. Lunch was Greek fare prepared by students and their parents and everyone had a great time.

Ironically, today was supposed to be the last day of school, but with all the "snow days" we had this winter, the kids will be in school for another week.
