bzzzz... light on my feet

i heard them before i saw them...

they sounded like minature buzz saws... lots of them... everywhere... it makes me a bit itchy just typing about them... i swear there were so many, they could've been making honey - it was amazing... they were clamouring over each other on the flowers - not able to get enough. in fact, they almost looked drunk! how funny...

i did get some really cool shots but then i noticed this little guy... he landed on a leaf and looked kind of lonely... well, you know how i am. i talk to ducks and geese - why would a bee be any different? i couldn't contain myself... i began to chatter away at it... a bee, people! i am not a bee lover by any stretch of the imagination, mind you. they are cute, but they can sting you. but he just sat on this leaf - i do believe he was listening to me. and then, he began to flap his wings. i thought he was going to fly away but he just sort of hovered for me... how cool is that? then i thanked him and walked away...
