Emergency Cakes

Its been a busy few days at work this week, and with hubby breaking his elbow too I've been called upon to carry out additional duties (cutting up food and opening tins among them) so not managed to blip at all since sunday.

This evening made more interesting by the realisation at 7pm that I'd totally forgotten about tomorrows cake stall at the school fayre.

A trip to the shop for essential chocolate chips, cake cases and vanilla essence and while dinner was cooking I cobbled together something that hopefully won't kill anyone.

A quality control sample has been taken and no projectile vomiting to report as yet - am hoping that the excessive chocolate chips and icing will mask the baking.

The boys will not be happy when they come downstairs tomorrow and are faced with fresh baked cakes they aren't allowed to eat.
