Turdus philomelos

A strange day. We had to get up ridiculously early, M had to get a train to MK for boring and doom-filled meetings.
I nipped along to a spot where I am sure that I had heard a very rare bird singing...but there was no sign or sound of it today. Probably scared off by the people using heavy earth-moving equipment to build new flood defences. I think that they have already disturbed the kingfishers :(
One compensation was hearing the lovely song of this thrush, though, even if the quality of the photo is nothing to write home about. Spent the whole day in a dwam, and realised eventually that this was the only in focus picture I had.
