No 84 Curlew

One of my favourite birds, and best seen in flight. Their call is the sound of the moors, wild and free. I went for a walk today after an early appointment, and the weather was changeable. By the time I got to the spot when this family of curlews was calling, the rain had set in. I saw the spotted flycatcher I had seen previously in the car park, but the lighting conditions made it impossible to get a photo. I also saw a cuckoo but too far away to be anything but a blur. The water voles were patrolling their territory as always. A good walk for spotting wildlife if not for photography.
