Sainte-Radegonde

This is the Sainte-Radegonde church in Talmont-Sur-Gironde. It was built by Benedictine monks in the 12th century and was swarming with school children whilst we were there.

The tiny village seemed to be 'closed' until 10am when a few shops & cafes started to open. This was the case with most of the places we visited on our stay, they all opened late, closed for lunch for two hours and seemed to be deserted for most of the time.
