On this think-of-the-garden, grey and rainy day I was rootling around looking for a blip and came across my boules set.

It reminded me that when I get my place in the South of France that must be within walking distance of a bakery, a bar and a 'Logis et Augerges'-listed restaurant, there should also be a petanque square in the village and enough room in the garden for my own practice pitch...

...I am a great believer in dream-achievement through visualisation.


As I took today's bench shot, I could hear rain starting on the canopy of trees above and by the time I caught up with this runner and her dog at the top of the heath we were all completely soaked through...
