She-Dog

Yes, I forgot her name, but she's a cutie (in spite of the weird rendition of pupils on that shot).

About 18 months old, she has all the behaviors of a pup: excitable ("omg, new people, must investigate"), distractable ("am going to go fetch that stick! wait, wait, something shinny over there! must go"), affectionate ("I think if I sit right on their lap, with my butt in their face, they'll be really happy"), and no sense of space ("I'm running, I'm running, I'm almost at their feet"... boing!).

In the meantime, as I was typing these words from my terrace, our cat was face to face, squarring off with a deer in our backyard. The deer actually ran away. Too late for the shot of the year!
