Lunar Eclipse

OK, so I have changed my original entry. Within 20 minutes of giving up waiting for the cloud bank to go and having posted the shot done earlier as a back up, I decided to have one more look at the sky. Lo and behold, there it was, the awaited eclipse, almost finished. Quick dash to camera bag. Out with tripod and here's the result.

Note to self : Be more patient in future!!!

Ps. Bear in mind that what you are looking at here is a full moon. That missing chunk is merely the shadow of the Earth obscuring part of the face.
