Denmark's Pride
Apart from being an incredibly lazy Blip (this around 300m from my front door) it does show a few things that make Danes glad to be Danes (pride is probably a bit too close to bragging for Danish comfort).
Firstly you have the pretty blond on a classic bike, which is an acceptable stereotype. She's cycling past the Rope Forest installation (see the last time for more information). Basically proud and suportive of their progressive art and design it pops up every where. Behind the forest you can see a guided tour passing through another display of student art that has appeared in the last week or two. Of personal note and just out of shot there is the entrance to a free photo exhibition which I have to get in and see before the 19th. All this in the Old Carlsberg grounds that are under development.
I wanted a picture of a Danish Flag today as it is Valdermars Day:
Denmark's is the world's oldest state flag still in use. Legend has it that it appeared as a sign from heaven to King Valdemar II in 1219.
Have a thought for the English flag and the fact that is simply the reverse of the Danish one.
