Is this a ladybird ?

The creepy crawlies were out in force today. I missed a shot of a dragonfly-like creature but there were others.

Not sure if this is a ladybird - you can look at it in large if it helps...

I found a UK Ladybird Survey website, with a gallery - and it looks as though this is an eyed ladybird (never heard of it before)
There is such a thing as a harlequin ladybird and they are apparently invading and taking over from our UK native species. I've sent the pic to the researchers. Hope it wasn't one of these nasty invaders
