Poppy

Drizzle again today.

Took the dog for a walk and decided not to take my camera with me. Felt a bit jittery so stuck the little camera in my pocket 'just in case'. As it was there was nothing of great interest though I did manage a few shots which have now been discarded.

Realised that the time had come to shoot the poppies. Have been resisting them as didn't think I could do them justice. Couldn't believe my luck when this little guy landed in the centre.

Love that you can just see the raindrops in the corner and that the poppy almost looks like velvet. And a bug is always a bonus.
