G is for .....

Grist Mill.

Since I knew that I was on G today I sought out a Grist Mill that was close to work. Haines Bros. Grist Mill fit the bill. It was a Gorgeous day so at lunch a Girlfriend and I headed over there. Also on the property was a Gazebo, which I also photographed.

Haines Mill was originally erected around 1760 and was rebuilt in 1909 after a fire. It stayed in operation until 1956. The Lehigh County Commissioners bought Haines Mill in 1972 for preservation as a working Grist mill museum.

H tomorrow and I still haven't come up with anything. Maybe I should go back to this mill as it fits the H challenge.
