A light went out
A light went out today
Not a light that changed the world that you would know
Not a light of Kings, philosophers or poets
But a warm, shining light to me
A light that sparked three, then six, then sixteen more
A light that burned well for ninety four years
So as that light fades
I remember not in sadness, but with a lightness of heart
William Campbell, 1916 - 2011, Papa
