Shades of green

I went for a brief walk and was taken by the different shades of green offered by this creeper on the fence in front of the evening sunshine dappled apple trees in the orchard. While I was sizing up the shot a young fox ran out of the field, across the road and up the farmer's drive. I stood, camera at my side, transfixed by its beauty. Of course a better blipper would have fired off a handful of shots and they'd be proudly displaying their catch but I was mesmerised. I've lived in the countryside for many years but I'm still that lad born and brought up in inner-city Manchester and wildlife, up close, has this effect. And wildlife includes cows and sheep; anything that's not native to Longsight.

Tuesday almost done and dusted; kick back and celebrate the dregs of it.
