Lake Mahinapua
Back to kayak on Lake Mahinapua this morning. The lake was mirror calm, what a beautiful spot.
Barking and I headed around the lake and up the creek towards Hokitika. The creek is really pretty with lots of weeds and bird life. We saw a Kotoku (New Zealand Native White Heron) feeding which is quite rare and great to see.
We kayaked for about 2 hours then had lunch by the van with Cousteau. I went for a refreshing swim in the lake by the jetty in this shot. Barking and I have both posted this jetty, as we have both really enjoyed our time near it. I have a feeling we will be back to Mahinapua with the kayaks again.
Barking went a bit nuts with her write up, but it was pretty special.
