Shannon's Sweet Sixteen
Today was the stage rehearsal for my last MYO concert of the year. We had to be at the Herricks Community Center at 8:00 and we got there just in time. I loaded my cello on the bus and me and Alana got on the bus. The ride took about an hour and I did some of the AP Euro summer reading on the bus. Then we sat in Alice Tully Hall watching the String Orchestra practice before us. The hall is amazing. They have a huge pipe organ at the back of the stage. I would have loved to take pictures but we weren't allowed. When it was our turn to play, all of us were eager to play and we sounded great. It was so cool being in there with only kids in the orchestra. The bus ride home took about two and a half hours because of massive amounts of traffic trying to get off of Manhattan. I watched parts of The Human Centipede with Daveen, Jung Min, Sarah, Dan, and Peter. That was interesting...
Shannon's Sweet 16 was tonight! This is a picture of us. I had a such a great time. I dance the whole time with almost everyone at the party! I hope Shannon had a great time too!
