Animation in the Heart of Europe

We arrive in Brussels and (as babushka notes) are met by my uncle. He takes us round the city, and we meet my cousins who live near the EU institutional buildings.

The walls of his metro are fabulous, nudes and motorbikers and ghouls, in lurid reds and yellows.

He tells us that Belgium is famous for its comics. He means the cartoons, not the politicians, of course.
