Commute
So today was the first day of my fortnight of work experience. This week I am working at Topwind, which is a specialist flute shop near Waterloo in London. And obviously this meant a commute. Especially considering I had the impression I had to arrive for opening time (8.30). And so I woke up at 5am, and successfully.
The commute itself was fairly painless, not the nicest of experiences but I wasn't expecting it to be. The placement however was really nice, the colleagues are really friendly and i'm so glad i'm there. I was doing all sort's of work today, including trying out some flutes that i'll probably never be able to afford. (I played one flute that was £30,000 ish) Quite a scary prospect really.
Then I left a little earlier than I expected, he told me to go home because seeing as i'd been there all day and there wasn't going to be anything interesting happening. But the train home was less busy than the morning, although I did have to stand up till horsham. Well I would have, but I chose to sit on the floor, and almost got trampled. But my feet were dead.
This write up does sound a bit funny and distant, but probably cause i'm quite tired. Anyways this is just a quick photo I shot at Clapham Junction, didn't get a lot of chance to snap around, but we'll see what tomorrow brings.
