Think I've finally got it sorted and saved us about £150 a year........and this time my camera will be insured outside of the house!

Strange day at work today, we 're having a special week again this year on the "culture" of another country...last year was Malaysia, this year is Spain. The Science faculty has decided to "do" Spanish speaking countries and volcanoes.

Spent several hours trawling the internet for information....do you know that some words to do with volcanoes don't translate into Spanish?

Volcano is easy ....el volcan, but lava. magma, ash, none of them translate! As for pyroclastic flow....not a chance!

Think I'm going to concentrate on el circulo del fuego....the ring of fire....... and get the kids researching all the volcanoes of South America plus the Canary Islands and other Spanish volcanoes.....big map of the world to be labelled with names of volcanoes, crosswords, labelling a diagram of a volcano in Spanish...........of course if there's any Spaniards out there or people who live in Spain who can give me some pointers then I'll be eternally grateful. (Hint, hint).
