Life's a Beach
It has been a LOVELY weekend and I think the Vickster was delighted with it all - as it all came together like clockwork, with some good fortune from the skies above thrown in for good measure. A fry-up (in our BB kitchen!) sorted us all out, although none of us were suffering from any hideous hangovers, we were pleased to report. Sunday papers and a final blast along the beach was squeezed in, before people had to start peeling away to return to their respective homes, only to be stumped on the M20 as we found it closed two junctions after we joined it. Despite having left separately, we all found ourselves in a mini-convoy as we crawled towards the diversion that took us (slowly) through Maidstone before re-joining the closed M20 and onto the M25, which presented us with hideous driving conditions in both terms of the weather and volume of traffic.
I was staying at SW17 with the Hen herself and so her future husband heard our tales and saw our photos and we dissected the weekend, pleased that all nine friends from different chapters of her life got on so well and had a jolly good time!
