Up Close and Personal

This is Mabel. We never used to see her as she has always been a bit of a recluse (well since the children arrived ont he scene anyway!!). However, since her brother died earlier in the year, she has become a much more friendly cat and obviously misses the companionship that he gave her.

If I tried to get this close for photographs six months ago, she would have moved away, turned her back on me or swiped me but tonight she lay compliant, enjoying the fact that she was getting attention.

Still not keen on the kids though, but getting better.
