Bay of Skaill

Loaded the bikes onto the car and headed up west. Parked at the Ring of Brodgar and cycled over to Skaill and back. Not that far but with big black clouds chasing us we reckoned it was far enough. However, the clouds never caught us and we managed to sit on the beach and eat our lunch.

This is tourist trap Orkney. Skara Brae is over to the left of this shot and the road we cycled is hoaching with buses filled with people flitting around all the bits of Neolithic Orkney you can cram into one day. The beach meanwhile is probably one the busiest in Orkney... as I'm sure you can tell from the pic.
