Bedford Park's got Talent!

Shame for our Sunday Green Day! Poured...most all day!

Didn't stop the ever faithfuls turning out out, umbrellas, souwesters, wellies...in fact, the true act of faith was the regulars turning out for morning mass on the green in the same attire! Beyond the call of duty if you ask me.

Still, there I was, wrestling with the Gazebo in the pouring rain with only B as my helper - who's about as practical as a chocolate saucepan - eventually managing to hammer in the last peg to secure it to the now marshlands when my two youngest boys arrived....
"Need any help dad?"

Shan't tell you my answer.

Had a plethora of photos to choose from to use as my blip today, including a number of various 'pushy' mothers giving their girls or boys 'on-stage', 'mid-act' instructions from the floor, by mouthing the word 'smile', or the beginning lines of the next verse, looking a bit like a transvestite Les Dawson as Ada....mouthing what she doesn't want to be heard. Made me wonder whether these kids wanted to be there, or was it their parents dream?

So I chose the winner of the Talent show, young Sophie, 10 years of age, with the voice of an angel. I overheard someone exclaiming that it wasn't 'right' that a 10 year should have such a voice. I think it was a sarcastic back-handed compliment.

She sang Heaven...and that's just what it sounded like!
