Bridges of Midlothian County

A fine morning dawned over the Lothians.

Walk in the woods seemed like a fine prospect ...even a trip to Roslin Chapel (of Da Vince Code fame)

Backpacks stocked with fine ginger beer, we set out to explore the river Esk. Saw some lovely bridges, some grand, some quaint.

Camera equipment played hard ...battery low warning. Had to frame some shots quickly ...difficulty deciding which one to blip today. Finally decided on character over grandeur.

This is one crossing over Esk River. I am going to come back to shoot it again as camera ran out of juice before I could get a few other angles.

Went to Roslin Chapel afterwards. It is getting a makeover and looked so beautiful inside.

The rain did come down later, but no regrets about how the day turned out. Hope you all had a good weekend.
