Evening Ritual

My son has an evening ritual. Almost every night he spends anything up to an hour talking to his dad. It's horrible having to live apart. But there are benefits. I wonder how many other parents spend that long each day just listening to what a child says. Even when we are together, I hope it continues.

It doesn't quite work the same with the girls, but thats more about teenagers and parents I think.
