I've bottled it...

So, after yesterday's success (see here) with the picking of the elderflower, and the sugar solution, today had to be bottling. Rather surprisingly, I managed to get almost all of the sugary liquid into the bottles and not all over the kitchen floor, which is the normal state of things.

Top tip - I used a folded-in-quarters tea-towel to strain the cordial and it stopped pretty much all the bugs from going into the bottles, as well as the elderflowers, bits of lemon and other undesirable stuff.

We've now got 5 bottles of really tasty elderflower cordial. I think tonight we're going to have it with sparkling water. Maybe someday soon we'll try it in sparkling wine... Any other recipe suggestions? Does it go well with gin?
