Homeward Blues

2.30pm ferry from Stornoway to Ullapool gave us time to have a chat with the cleaners of the cottage before driving up to Stornoway (the ferry from Tarbert to Uig on Skye had been full when we tried to book), checking in (being told the ferry would be a little late - in the end only about 15 minutes), driving up to Tiumpan Head on the promise of some Risso's Dolphins, but seeing none and making do with being checked out, very closely, by some Fulmars who must have been nesting nearby.

And that was it. Uneventful crossing. Uneventful drive south. Dinner. Play with the cat.
