New life boat station in the dark. Tonight it's very cold, very dark and the wind is in coming from the north - imagine going out to a ship in distress. No thanks.

Once of the country's worst lifeboat disasters occured here on the night 10 December 1886 with the loss of 28 volunteer boatmen and two rescue vessels. You've got to admire these guys.
