Flower Festival
An action packed day for us at the Linton Flower Festival. Here you see Alf and William in a gladiatorial battle which ended in them wandering off for a game of footie.
The Uke element played three times, with spoonpaying a visit to the first one. I have to say I don't think I have ever been quite so scared in my life and I've seen scary stuff. Anyway, utterly brilliant fun, thankyou fellow Ukers...
This evening we too part in a variety show in the church, if I thought I was scared this morning... We play a song called Love's Enormous Wings, it is by a band called the Leisure Society... This song is the reason I started to play the Ukulele and then nagged everyone else to join in, so I guess it is pretty important. Anyway as I sing it, I was more nervous than ever before we started, I have to say, one we got going (and thanks Alf for the video, good move to chop off my head) things seemed ok. You can see it...maybe tomorrow.
As well as being in our band H is in the school parent and teacher choir... they were epic, I'll post some of them tomorrow as well.
so, a good, but tiring day... night!
