Hoverfly. Not hovering though..

This little bug was hovering around while I was enjoying the sun in the garden today.
It landed on my flowering currant - I watched it for a while, and went indoors to fetch the camera. Surprisingly it stayed on the leaf for long enough for me to find the camera and take a couple of quick shots.

I would have gone for the macro/extension tubes/tripod shot, but I didn't think he'd have the patience to wait for that long.
