RIP R&D

Now this may seem a little over-dramatic in the grand scheme of things but today it seems is a sad day for us. Here is big K, he's been playing for the diamonds for the last 3 years and has progressed through their development and for the last 2 years has played for the Centre of Excellence which is a huge accomplishment & we're so proud of him ... it's kept him focused on what he wants & where he wants to go in life. Of course he wants to grow up and be the next Peter Schmeichel or Joe Hart and I hope these dreams of his become reality however he know's the chances are slim but hey you never know! At the tender age of 13 he also has a back up plan which leaves me full of admiration for him. Unfortunately these dreams are at a standstill for the time being anyway ... it seems today Rushden & Diamonds are no more ... we're still waiting for an official email to confirm this however we do know they have been officially expelled from the Football Conference & the CofE continuing on from this, well let's just say it will take a miracle!

We will continue looking for other clubs but it seems the other clubs have all had their trials so for this season we may be a little late!

It's safe to say we're gutted! Totally & utterly.
