No 81: Mute Swan

You might to surprised that I haven't blipped a mute swan until now, in fact, as part of my non-stop 50. I did set off to do it several months ago, but it got upstaged by a wren in a Rotherham car wash. Wrens were also a feature of today's walk, as were a treecreeper, grey wagtail, a tufted duck and a heron, but as they have all featured previously, it was the swan that made the cut. Another feature of todays walk was the changeable weather: it went from rain to sunshine several times, so by the time I reached walk's end, I was positively steaming. I suppose you could say I've been saving the swan for a rainy day!
