In at the Deep End

Lunch today at the Oyster Bar in Ellenabeich on Seil Island. This is a lovely place which is very welcoming to dogs. We were here last year and were absolutely delighted to come back. I had a delicious Orkney herring, and Mrs jml had locally smoked salmon. The strawberry scone to follow was to die for. Jess and Molly were very well behaved, especially when other dogs came in. There was no reactions or growlings.

Afterwards we stopped at a nearby flooded quarry and the dogs got themselves very wet. Jess, as usual, only dipped her toes at the edge. But Miss Molly went the whole hog. She particularly enjoyed going in after a toy which was tied to a rope and flung far into the water for her to swim back with. The difficulty was in getting her to release it on dry land so I could repeat the exercise! Jess's part in this operation was simply to bark incessantly.
