A New Mother

This is my second time visiting Silvia in hospital after the birth of her lovely daughter on June 2nd, but my first time seeing her with Audrey. There were some complications during the birth and the hospital have decided to keep the baby a little longer for observation.

I really feel for Silvia and Tom - I can understand that yearning to be and bond with your new born baby. Today is the first day Silvia was able to spend the entire day with Audrey and I had tears in my eyes when I saw them together. Hopefully only a few more days and Audrey will be at home with her parents where she belongs and we can welcome her properly without all of the IV tubes and monitors.
