But it's more like flimsy underwear than a good winter coat.

The clouds cleared for a few hours and we had sunshine. What a difference it made to everything from the landscape to raindrops captured on leaves and flowers. I was so distracted by it all that it took me an hour to hang out my washing.

Reminds me of the time I read a whole Biggles book while I was making my bed one Saturday. My mother was not impressed.
