In her defence

Juno and I strolled up the hill with no company and an almost dog free walk.

Work was a searching of souls.

Great lunch time chat with mr Smith and thanks for the wee pressies, very kind of your family.

The girls had their last league game until after the summer holidays tonight. It was against the team just behind us in the league. So left work early to feed eco daughter and get everything organised.

Ran home in the rain, it was good.

The girls were tired and you could tell in the warm up that they were not quite focused. The weekend tour was probably still in all their thoughts.

The game started and it was tight, eco daughter took a football on her throat and had to come off for a bit, 0-0 at halftime. The girls had not played as we wanted they to play, trying to take on the opposition rather than pass.

Early in second half 1 down to a cracking shot from distance, now a real test of character could we get back into the game.

A couple of changes and the girls started to believe, a great passing move and our captain slotted the ball into the net. The purples lifted the the pace and with 10 minutes to go a swift move led to a penalty. Good penalty put us 2-1 up which we maintained to the final whistle.

A very exciting game, both teams going at it 100% and I am shattered.

Eco daughter was outstanding in defence, not very good at posing.
