An intrepid pied wagtail hovers over the pond of Charles Jencks' Landform Ueda, found at the front of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

With a flittering motion it manages to remain stationary after a fashion, gingerly feeding on a mat of vegetation; careful to avoid a fleet squadron of housemartins that speed and swoop around it, preying on the insects that are found low over the water.
