Kornati National Park

No time for Therry to go swimming this morning.

We had to be in Zadar for 08:15 to get on the boat for the trip to Kornati.

It was a cold and showery morning and eventually we had to go below deck to shelter.

We arrived at Kornati as the weather brightned.

We dis-embarked for a couple of hours ashore.

We fed apples to the donkeys and Therry went for a swim in the lake a few minutes walk inland.

We then walked round to look at the cliffs.

We re-boarded and headed back to Zadar, stopping off at a fishing village on one of the islands.

Ice cream was consumed!

On the way back we were treated to an aerial display by some fire fighting sea-planes.

We'd seen them parked up at Zadar Airport when we landed.

They flew overhead and dumped their water, they skimmed the surface of the sea and scooped up more. they then flew off out of sight.

Just as we reached Zadar a couple of them returned.
