Onions

Going to start and have a go at still life as I have a camera club comp coming up so I need to get thinking. First off are some onions, not sure its any good, but its a start. But what to capture, now theres a 6 million dollar question, and then how to light it, thats where I find it difficult. How do you make something inanimate interesting, funny I think the wife says that about me sometimes, lol.
