Waiting in a chair.
A grey day waiting in for delivery people again. Probs best not to say too much, but just that the man's screenwash was due. Anyway, meant I didn't go out.
Instead I got a phone call from the daughter with some really good news.
I also got and e-mail from a mate and I started thinking about stuff that you could do if you were stuck in a chair all day.
Well there's this or there's this. Personally I think I like this one best though.
No? Don't fancy them? Ah well, LOL!
The image:
You can do this one sitting down. Used a wide angled lens with a torch behind to provide some illumination back onto the wall. Processed in raw to correct for exposure and converted to mono. Added a blue tint in the highlights and a green one in the shadows. Applied a little bit of white vignette. Processed and imported into PS.
Duplicated the image twice and shut off the background layer. Set blending mode on top layer to overlay. Added a surface blur to the top layer. (This filter blurs while preserving edge detail... but seems to take ages to apply). So, have a cup of tea.
Once it's done, mess around with the opacity of the top layer until you get something you like. Add a level adjustment layer. Set the blending mode to screen and move the sliders around until you get a nice light image that still retains detail in all the important bits. Take the opacity down until you have the effect you are after.
Am thinking glasses work well as a point of strong contrast but different props could be worth trying out too. Wonder what we can come up with. You game?
