Peony for Mally C
I used to think that peonies were such an old fashioned flower in the garden and after a bit wind and rain just flopped everywhere. They always had to be staked and did not last long. When we went on holiday to NZ my dear sister-in-law used to buy them frequently and display them in a vase. Beautiful pale pink which then turned into a very pretty delicate lemon shade. I was totally smitten.
At that time peonies were not readily available here as a cut flower but now they are and I can't resist them. Every time I buy them I think of you MallyC and all the wonderful times we have had with you all in Dunedin.
Euan is up for the afternoon. Just had him out a walk and we got drenched. The painting is on hold because the forecast is not good for the rest of the week. Think John is glad of the rest. ( I was helping too!!)
